A Canadian Forces colonel has become the latest casualty of Canada's mission in Afghanistan — the highest-ranking Canadian soldier killed since the mission began in 2002.
Col. Geoff Parker, 42, was a member of the Royal Canadian Regiment, and hailed originally from Oakville, Ont.
